Lt. Gen. Edward L. Rowny, a representative of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Strategic Arms Limitation Talks (SALT), is in town and will be returning to Geneva soon. It is suggested that Senator Bartlett meet with him before leaving for Geneva, as he has been a SALT negotiator for 4 1/2 years and can provide insight on what to expect in the negotiations. Bartlett's assistant, Mary Ann, can arrange a meeting with Rowny by contacting his secretary.
