The letter is from the Five Civilized Tribes Foundation to Congressman Jim Jones expressing interest in the status of Senator Pressler's bill S. 1016, which aims to provide jobs and improve conditions among Indians and non-Indians on reservations. The foundation is supportive of the bill but wants it to also represent Oklahoma Indians. They are actively recruiting new industries to eastern Oklahoma to provide jobs for unemployed tribal members and encourage Congressman Jones to submit an amendment to clarify the inclusion of Oklahoma Indians in the bill.
