The Native American Coalition of Tulsa has requested amendments to the American Indian Census Profile Project Grant to develop a more detailed work plan, including a Project Management Plan and an Organizational Capabilities statement. The primary purpose of the project is to provide tools and techniques to maximize the use of 1980 Census data for the betterment of Indian people, addressing historical non-use of Census data, lack of technical expertise, and the need for better planning and management discipline. The project aims to provide an Indian-specific Census clearinghouse and technical assistance to assist Indian tribes and organizations in utilizing Census data effectively.
