Johnny Shoup, a high school student, wrote a letter to Congressman Carl Albert requesting information about the geological formations in Le Flore County, Oklahoma. In response, the letter was forwarded to the Director of Geological Survey, Department of the Interior, for detailed information. Congressman Albert assured Johnny that he would receive the information he requested once it was available.
