Thirteen-year-old John Cox from Durant, Oklahoma wrote to Rep. Carl A. Albert requesting a map of the United States for his map collecting hobby. Rep. Albert forwarded the request to the Geological Survey, who sent John a relief map of the United States. John received the map and was commended for his interesting and worthwhile hobby.
