An all-Indian Golf Tournament will be held in Dallas in June 1974, sponsored by the Dallas American Indian Golf Association. Tonya Wood, of Seminole/Chickasaw descent, is nominated for the Jim Thorpe Award. The Mekusukey Softball Tournament ended with Spaulding taking 1st place. Tonya led McLeish High School to the State Tournament and was nominated for various awards. Other summer activities are planned, and the general public is invited to support the teams.
