The Seminole Nation of Oklahoma is in need of a health care center as the closest facility is too far away and inaccessible to many tribal members. The lack of space, staff, and equipment at the current health center results in referrals and inadequate care. The establishment of a new health center would benefit not only the Seminole Nation but other tribes in the area as well. Tribal leaders have passed resolutions to address Carl Albert the need for better health care facilities. The proposed location for the health center is at Mekusukey Mission Ground in Seminole, Oklahoma.
