Efforts for Indian Roads and Schools: A Letter from Carl Albert, 1947-05-02

Mr. F. W. Frazier received a letter from Carl Albert on May 2, 1947, thanking him for his support for Indian roads and schools. Albert explained that he did everything he could to secure funding, but faced opposition from Republican members of Congress. The Indian Commissioner also stated that there was not enough money for the program at that time. Albert assured Frazier that he would continue to work towards helping with the issue.
