The Department plans to hold a conference with tribal representatives to reach an agreement on a purchase price, which will then be voted on by the tribes and submitted to Congress. The purchase price will be credited to the Choctaw and Chickasaw Indians and distributed according to the contract. The Indians may request a provision for a portion of the purchase price to be distributed to them.
