Identifier: CAC_CC_001_4_2_3_0008
Carl Albert received a petition from Mr. H. L. Gooding and other Indian citizens opposing the extension of time for leasing Choctaw and Chickasaw coal and asphalt lands. He has not heard of any proposed legislation for this extension and plans to have a conference with representatives of the tribes to reach an agreement on the purchase price of the lands. Carl Albert assures that he will resist any effort to delay this matter.
