Mrs. Cox received a petition opposing the extension of time for leasing Choctaw and Chickasaw lands for coal and asphalt. The Assistant Secretary of the Interior plans to have a conference soon to reach an agreement on the purchase price of the lands. Carl Albert, the representative, assures Mrs. Cox that he will resist any efforts to delay the matter.
