The letter is from Carl Albert to Mr. Rich Anderson regarding coal and asphalt lands in Talihina, Oklahoma. Albert mentions a meeting between Tribal Officials and the Department of Interior to come to an agreement on the lands. He also mentions a bill in Congress Carl Albert to extend lease terms, but states he will not support it unless Carl Albert the rights of the Indians are fully protected. Albert assures Anderson that he will push for a successful conclusion to the negotiations.
