Mrs. Alice Perry received a response from Congressman Carl Albert regarding concerns about coal and asphalt lands in Oklahoma. The Tribal Officials and the Department of Interior are meeting to come to an agreement on the issue, and Congressman Albert is working to ensure the rights of the Indians are protected. He will not support a bill that may affect the salability of the lands. Congressman Albert appreciates the letter and encourages further communication.
