The House passed a bill to make $230,820 available to the Seminole tribe from funds currently on deposit in the treasury. The funds can be used as proposed by the Seminole General Council, pending approval from the Secretary of the Interior. The bill now goes to the Senate Interior Committee. The funds include money from a pre-statehood Seminole school fund and two Indian Claims Commission judgments related to land and lease sales in the past.
