Mrs. Austin Taylor wrote a letter to Congressman Albert asking about the status of a bill in Congress to repeal the Choctaw Termination Act, which would restore government aid to the Choctaw Indians. She expressed the importance of these benefits to her family and the Choctaw community as a whole. In response, a legislative assistant informed her that the bill had been passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate, and was awaiting the President's signature.
