The text is a series of letters from Congressman Carl Albert and his administrative assistant informing a friend of the progress of a bill to repeal the Choctaw Termination Act of 1959. The House of Representatives passed the bill unanimously, followed by the U.S. Senate. The President signed the bill, repealing the Act and allowing the Choctaw Tribe to continue.
