The text is a letter from Robert J. Perry, Secretary of the Chickasaw Advisory Council, to Honorable Carl Albert, requesting support for an amendment to the 1959 Choctaw Termination Act. The proposed amendment aims to protect the interests of both the Choctaw and Chickasaw tribes by making improvements such as selling Choctaw land with all oil and mineral rights and recognizing Chickasaw rights.
