The Sac and Fox Tribe of Oklahoma established a Housing Authority to provide new homes for their people, and have obtained approval to construct 100 dwellings. They are facing challenges with paperwork and the workload at the Shawnee Agency, and are requesting additional personnel to expedite the process. The Principal Chief is urging the Commissioner of Indian Affairs to approve the additional personnel promptly. Congressman Carl Albert expresses support for their request and willingness to assist.
