They were guests of Congressman Albert for lunch, attended a session of Congress, and toured the Capitol. The students were participating in a Youth Development Project sponsored by Southeastern State College, Durant. Staff members from SSC accompanied the group on the trip. Carole Konsure, a secretary in Albert's office, also joined the students for part of the day. The visit was covered by various local newspapers.
