 Item — Box: 13, Folder: 58
Identifier: CAC_CC_001_4_13_58_0003
Mr. Arthur Baldwin applied for federal employment but was found to have only 1/64 degree Chickasaw blood, making him ineligible for an excepted appointment. Congressman Carl Albert recommended him for a position as a soil conservationist aide, and suggested he apply for agricultural graduate positions through the Civil Service Commission. The Bureau of Indian Affairs suggested Mr. Baldwin contact Mr. D.E. LeCrone for potential assignment as an Engineering Aid. Congressman Albert offered to help Mr. Baldwin further in his job search.
