John Belvin wrote a letter to Carl Albert, expressing concerns about the service provided to the Indians of the Five Tribes by the Muskogee Office. Belvin requested that the new Secretary of the Interior appoint a new superintendent for the office to improve service. Albert responded, thanking Belvin for his views and promising to consider his suggestions.
