Inquiry Regarding Eligibility for Indian Health Services at Claremore Hospital, 1976-09-23

 Item — Box: 139, Folder: 16
Identifier: CAC_CC_001_4_139_16_0007
The letter is a response to an inquiry from Mrs. Nettie Dorough about her eligibility for health services at Claremore Indian Hospital if she were to move to Tulsa. The Indian Health Service confirms her eligibility for care at any Indian Health facility, but states that residents of Tulsa are not provided with services that require contract health funds. However, if Indian people from areas outside of IHS service areas choose to seek care at an IHS facility, they will receive care to the extent possible. The Speaker of the House is following up on Mrs. Dorough's inquiry and hopes to provide her with more information soon.
