The letter from Gerald L. Peltier, Chairman-Tribal Administrator of the Citizen Band Potawatomi Indians, addresses the poor conditions and service at the Indian Health Service Clinic in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Peltier describes the filthy state of the clinic, lack of cleanliness, lack of janitorial services, and issues with appointment scheduling and referral services.
