The Speaker wrote to Mr. and Mrs. Killingsworth regarding their daughter's difficulty in accessing Indian Health facilities due to proof of Indian blood quantum requirement. The Speaker forwarded their letter to the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and received a response stating that the Killingsworth's should contact the Bureau for a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood to resolve the issue. The Speaker also contacted the Indian Health Service for information on the matter.
