The Bureau of Indian Affairs informed the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma that their funding request for the Indian Action Team program for Fiscal Year 1976 was not approved due to a lack of available funds. They were encouraged to resubmit their proposal for the following fiscal year. The Bureau also explored other funding sources but found no immediate options. The Choctaw Nation was advised to prepare a new application for possible funding in the next fiscal year.
