Dr. Sylvia Adams, the Medical Officer in Charge at PHS Indian Hospital in Talihina, is proposing to make reductions in personnel service at the hospital in response to a memorandum from Dr. Ray Vanderhook. The proposed changes include abolishing certain positions, re-evaluating others, and transferring some employees. Dr. Adams expresses concern that these changes will negatively impact patient care but feels they have no alternative. They agree with some suggestions from Dr. Vanderhook regarding promotions and filling positions. The necessary steps will be taken to implement the proposed changes promptly.
