 Item — Box: 30, Folder: 66
Identifier: CAC_CC_001_4_30_66_0006
The Assistant Secretary of the United States Department of the Interior responds to a request from the Principal Chief of the Choctaws and his delegation to come to Washington to express wishes regarding the appointment of the Principal Chief. The Department is receiving many similar requests and suggests that views could be expressed in letters instead of traveling to Washington, which would save money. The selection process will not be rushed and all interested parties' wishes will be considered.
