The Chairman-Tribal Administrator of the Citizen Band Potawatomi Indians in Oklahoma, Gerald L. Peltier, wrote a letter to the Speaker of the House, Carl Albert, requesting his presence or representative at a meeting with officials of the Bureau of Indian Affairs to discuss a loan guarantee for a Foundry and Ferrosilicon Plant. The Speaker responded, thanking Peltier for the invitation, but stated that they were unable to attend the meeting.
