Identifier: CAC_CC_047_3_27_14_0001
John A. McGuire, a member of Congress from Connecticut, introduced a bill to amend the Federal Trade Commission Act to restore the Miller-Tydings Act. He believes that a recent Supreme Court decision upset the effectiveness of the Miller-Tydings Act and that it should be corrected through legislation. McGuire is opposed to efforts to re-refer the bill to another committee and is seeking the support of his colleagues in opposing this.
