Item — Box: 27, Folder: 15
Identifier: CAC_CC_047_3_27_15_0001
Leo D. Branstetter, president of the Mayes County Farm Bureau, wrote a letter to Congressman George B. Schwabe expressing opposition to the Fair Trade Bill, which he believes encourages monopolies and is a step towards socialism. Schwabe responds by stating that he has received more letters in favor of the bill than against it, and he assures Branstetter that he does not support monopolies or socialism. Schwabe also mentions that he has received positive feedback from the Federal Farm Bureau and defends his record of voting against measures that lead to socialism.
