Mrs. Ralph Mosier writes to Congressman George Schwabe requesting immediate financial relief for government employees due to the rising cost of living. Congressman Schwabe responds, acknowledging the need for adequate compensation for government employees but also expressing the opinion that there are too many federal employees and that a smaller, more competent workforce should be paid better. He states that he will listen to arguments for and against the proposal when it comes before the House of Representatives.
