Mrs. John Weiskopf wrote to Representative George Schwabe urging for cuts in federal spending, particularly in foreign aid and non-defense expenditures. She believes that allies should support the US based on shared values, not financial incentives, and that taxpayer money should not be used to buy votes or protect government jobs. Representative Schwabe agrees with her views and reassures her that he will continue to support fiscal responsibility in Congress.
