The letter from Fred B. Woodard to Congressman George B. Schwabe expresses concern about the establishment of a base in Okinawa by the government and the potential danger it poses to his son who is in the Navy. Woodard believes the venture is unnecessary and criticizes the decision. He also mentions rumors about Woodard being considered for a position as Osage tribal attorney. Congressman Schwabe responds by expressing his delight at hearing from Woodard and agrees with his criticism of the Okinawa situation. Schwabe also mentions his high regard for Woodard and assures him that he is always welcome to reach out.
