The letter dated October 14, 1946, from A.L. Warren, Secretary to Congressman George B. Schwabe, informs Mr. Edward B. Massie that the War Department regulations previously provided to him cover his case and no additional regulations are applicable. It is mentioned that a bill introduced on his behalf by Congressman Schwabe will likely not proceed further until Congress reconvenes in January 1947. Massie responds on October 17, 1946, stating that the regulations provided do not apply to his case as they deal with dishonorable discharges. He requests a reevaluation and mentions an Army Regulation 1481 that was in effect in 1918, which he believes is relevant to his case.
