A letter dated September 8, 1936, from Edward B. Rowan, Superintendent of the Section of Painting & Sculpture at the Treasury Department, to Miss E. M. Pool, Secretary to Senator Elmer Thomas. The letter discusses the allocation of paintings and prints done under the Treasury Relief Art Project, with a group of paintings being sent to Mrs. Mabel Bassett and another group promised to be sent soon. Rowan mentions that Mr. Dows is in charge of the allocation process and has been referred to regarding a request for prints for Senator Thomas' office.
