The Better Schools Act containing revisions to the legislation is before Congress, but passage is not expected until a thorough study has been conducted. The United Indian Tribes of Western Oklahoma and Kansas will have their views considered in the study. The Acting Director of the Office of Indian Education offers further assistance if needed.
