The Mayor of Tulsa, Robert J. LaFortune, received a letter from the Osage Tribe requesting representation on the Tulsa Area Manpower Authority Board of Directors. In response, Mayor LaFortune appointed Ed Red Eagle, Sr. as the replacement board member, providing adequate representation for the Osage Tribe. The Tribe felt that without representation, they were being left out of the direction and planning process for their reservation.
