The Governor of the Chickasaw Nation, Overton James, responds to correspondence from the Carter County Chickasaw Tribal Council regarding the agenda for the Annual Chickasaw Tribal meeting. He offers to answer questions regarding tribal matters in his State of the Nation Message, but requests that individual situation-related questions be sent in the next few days. Additionally, he addresses a specific case of a family without water and informs that a new well will be drilled for them. There is also a separate letter from the Tribal Council requesting immediate action for families facing eviction from Housing Authority projects.
