Concerns Regarding Upward Bound Program Regulations, 1977-01-01 - 1977-12-31

 Item — Box: 31, Folder: 6
Identifier: CAC_CC_003_2_31_6_0004
The letter is in response to an inquiry about the Upward Bound Program regulations from Mr. Charles Briley, Principal of Idabel Public Schools in Oklahoma. The Bureau of Higher and Continuing Education explains that the 50-mile limitation for the program has been in place since 1966 and is necessary to ensure proper project supervision and services for students. They will work with local institutions to develop a proposal that better meets the needs of the area. The letter also mentions that Idabel students currently in the program will continue to participate until they graduate. Senator Dewey Bartlett is thanked for his interest in the program.
