 Item — Box: 31, Folder: 6
Identifier: CAC_CC_003_2_31_6_0009
Senator Dewey F. Bartlett is requesting Acting Director Ms. Gwen Shunatona to review and provide an opinion on whether the involvement of Ms. Coweta Gallia, who serves as Chairman of the Indian Parent Committee for Spiro schools in Oklahoma, in approving proposals for Title IV Part A funds for the schools, while her daughter serves as a Teacher's aid in a program funded by Title IV funds, constitutes a conflict of interest. Ms. Gallia is concerned about the legality of the situation and wishes to correct it if necessary. Senator Bartlett appreciates Ms. Shunatona' s cooperation and assistance in this matter.
