A letter from Senator Dewey Bartlett in response to a resolution from the Inter-Tribal Council of the Five Civilized Tribes supporting the extension of Title IV of the Indian Education Act. The Council is requesting that Congress extend the funding for educational programs for Indian youth. Senator Bartlett acknowledges the Council's concerns and promises to keep them in mind when the legislation reaches the Senate for consideration.
