This text is a concurrent resolution submitted in the Senate of the United States declaring congressional policy for Indian self-determination and against termination of Federal responsibility to American Indians and Alaskan Natives. It repudiates the termination policy, confirms the integrity and right to existence of Indian tribes, and assures continued trust responsibilities by the United States, including health, education, and welfare. It also emphasizes the importance of maximizing opportunities for Indian control and self-determination.
