The National Tribal Chairmen's Association sent a resolution to Senator Dewey F. Bartlett expressing concerns about the Indian housing delivery system. The resolution called for comprehensive legislation to consolidate Indian housing and community development services under a single department to improve coordination and efficiency. Senator Bartlett thanked the organization for their input and stated that their concerns would be helpful in his efforts to improve the housing system for Native Americans.
