Polling List Preparation for Osage Tribal Government Change, 1975-07-22

The Bureau of Indian Affairs is preparing polling lists of Osage Indians to determine if a change in the tribal government structure is desired. Lists will be divided based on Osage blood quantum, and individuals can submit protests or corrections before August 18. Each person on the list will receive a proposed bill and a ballot to indicate their preference. The poll will be conducted by the American Arbitration Association. For more information, contact the Office of Indian Services in Washington, D.C.
