Update on Indian Housing Programs in Oklahoma, 1975-08-28

The Assistant Secretary for Administration of the Department of Housing and Urban Development addressed a letter to Senator Bartlett regarding Indian housing programs in Oklahoma. The Secretary has decided not to transfer authority for these programs to the Denver Regional Office and will hold the Regional Administrator of the Dallas Regional Office responsible for their implementation. HUD will take over responsibility for audits starting in October 1976, and a handbook for Indian housing programs is in preparation.
