Senator Dewey Bartlett wrote to the Department of Housing and Urban Development on behalf of the Inter-Tribal Council in Miami, Oklahoma, requesting additional housing units. The Department responded that they had already allocated units for the transitional quarter but anticipated receiving authorization for additional units in the near future. The Inter-Tribal Council had requested 275 additional housing units to meet the needs of the eight tribes they serve in Northeastern Oklahoma. Senator Bartlett expressed hope that the Council would receive the necessary housing units and offered further assistance if needed.
