The Department of Housing and Urban Development responds to a letter from Senator Dewey Bartlett on behalf of a constituent regarding home loans for Indians. They provide a fact sheet on Indian housing and a summary of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1977. The Secretary has appointed Irving Santiago as the Special Assistant for Indians and Alaska Native Programs and recommends contacting the Oklahoma City Area Office for further information. Senator Bartlett's constituent, R.B. Davis, had inquired about home loans and requested any available information.
