Item — Box: 33, Folder: 5
Identifier: CAC_CC_001_4_33_5_0002
A series of letters regarding a proposed increase in monthly rental fees for employees living in quarters at the Talihina Indian Hospital. The Public Health Service is conducting an investigation into the matter, with a final report expected in two to three weeks. Officials are working to reach a mutually satisfactory agreement with proper officials. The employees feel that the proposed increase is unjust and does not take into account the condition of the living quarters or the lack of amenities in the surrounding area. The Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare are also involved in the discussions.
