Addressing Rental Rate Concerns at Talihina Indian Hospital, 1959-08-25

 Item — Box: 33, Folder: 5
Identifier: CAC_CC_001_4_33_5_0003
A reevaluation of rental rates for employees' quarters at the Talihina Indian Hospital in Oklahoma. Dr. James R. Shaw of the Public Health Service has assured that necessary corrections will be made and that the rates established following the reevaluation will be acceptable to employees. The employees had raised concerns about the proposed rental increases, citing the remote location of the hospital and limited access to amenities in nearby towns. Congressman Carl Albert played a role in addressing these concerns and ensuring that the rates were fair for the employees.
