The letter from Mr. , Chairman of the Kiowa, Comanche, and Apache Tribal Business Committee, requested funding for repairs and improvements to the Public Health Indian Hospital at Lawton. Congressman Carl Alberts responded, expressing willingness to cooperate and assist in securing the needed funds. The hospital was described as being in three sections, with various areas needing renovation and equipment replacement. Recommendations included surveying the building by Consulting Engineers and addressing issues such as renovating patient bath rooms, widening doors, installing fire doors, renovating the kitchen, replacing the incinerator, and enlarging waiting rooms. Additional recommendations included renovating the east wing for offices, strengthening the roof, and adding a three-bedroom house.
